Featuring beloved Mandopop hits from icons like Stefanie Sun, Tanya Chua, and Jimmy Ye, plus a brand-new song by Xiaohan and Julian Wong, the production stars Joanna Dong, Derrick Hoh, Ric Liu, Jean Seizure, and Chriz Tong. SMU Arts Fest 2025 is set to take over the city campus from 22 August to 28 September, transforming it into a vibrant stage for youth-led creativity and bold original music. Themed "2560" in honour of SMU’s 25th anniversary and SG60, this year’s festival promises a dynamic slate of performances. Highlights include MAD The Musical (26–28 September), an original production inspired by Bras Basah’s forgotten histories with music by Jimmy Ye and direction by George Chan; COMMISSIONS (11 September), a genre-blending concert by the SMU Chinese Orchestra featuring new Singaporean compositions and regional instruments; and Live, Laugh, Lor (29–30 August & 5–6 September), a lively campus showcase featuring student music and dance acts from all eight Singapore universities. As the sun dips below the horizon, Sunset Groove transforms Armenian Street into a lively music escape across two weekends — 22 & 23 August, 29 & 30 August. Part of Peranakan Museum's Paradise Island festivities during Singapore Night Festival, this open-air showcase blends traditional sounds with modern energy. Highlights include Arabic melodies from The Samrah Club, Peranakan choral harmonies by Suara Sayang, and fresh indie-pop from local band Club Mild. ARCANE MORPHOSIS: A Night of Extreme Metal is the inaugural showcase by Promethean Arts, spotlighting the raw, unrelenting spirit of Singapore’s underground extreme metal scene. Headlining the night are local legends Rudra, veterans of what they self-describe as “Vedic metal”—an incendiary blend of blackened death metal, Sanskrit chants, and Indian classical motifs. Supporting them are DARAH, a death‑metal force known for searing riffs and thematic intensity, and Poison Void, a three‑piece delivering visceral old‑school death and black metal aggression—all coming together for an intimate, intense night of sonic carnage curated by Promethean Arts.

The Voices of Singapore (VOS) Festival, Singapore's largest non-competitive choral festival, celebrates a historic milestone this year as it returns for its 10th edition, marking a decade of celebrating a Singing Singapore. The Festival presents its most expansive programme yet — five days of concerts, galas, outdoor performances, masterclasses, choir exchanges, recitals and workshops. Altoduo: Toying with Time Signatures – Workshop

Singapore math-hop duo Altoduo are headed to Japan for the first time, bringing their angular grooves and jazzy pulses to Kansai Music Conference (KMC) in Osaka — an international platform for cross-cultural musical exchange. Joined by sessionists Nicole Tay and Khairul Junaidi, they'll also hit intimate live houses across Kobe, Osaka, and Kyoto, playing alongside Japanese and international acts. GRAMMY-winning conductor Tang Muhai leads the Shanghai Nine Trees Philharmonic Orchestra to Singapore in a first collaboration with renowned Singaporean pianist William Wei and supporting Singaporean musicians including Felix Phang and The Straits Ensemble. William and Tang will launch the world premiere of Mei Lanfang Peking Opera Symphony, originally performed by one of the greatest actors of Peking Opera of the 20th century.
